Location: On the banks of the Niukluk River on the Seward Peninsula, 74 miles northeast of Nome.
Climate: Inland temperature ranges, with longer winters, and shorter summers than surrounding areas... Average annual precipitation is 14 inches, temperatures ranging between 10 below zero to the high sixties in summer.
Visitor Facilities: Accommodations and food available during the summertime at Camp Bendeleben fishing lodge. No public laundry or banking services. Some grocery and sporting supplies available locally.
