Location: On the west bank of the Buckland River, on the Seward Peninsula, about 75 miles southeast of Kotzebue.

Climate:
Long, cold winters and cool summers. Average temperatures in July and August are 60 degrees F. Less than 9 inches precipitation annually, with 40 inches of snow.

Visitor Facilities:
No hotel, restaurant or banking services. Laundromat. Visit the Buckland Native Store.
